Pinky And The Brain Full Episodes

Do not worry about tomorrow

conclude the day the liturgy through the now customary appointment of meditation with the reflections of well-known priests and religious movements. Today we reflect through the words of Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia

Jesus tells his disciples: "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, nor about your body, what you wear, maybe life is not worth more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air neither sow nor reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. perhaps not worth more than them? ". They are very clear words that should make us reflect on how most of us think of their lives, the concerns we have on our present and our future. Do not let anxiety take today and tomorrow? The Gospel invites us to watch the birds of the sky and wonder how they are helped by the Lord. Well, if this is for the birds of the sky, without a doubt that matters much less than people, the more it will be for us? And yet we live just taking care of what was missing in our lives, even if we do not there curassimo. "Your heavenly Father knoweth that you need them. Instead, try, first, the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." You - seems to affirm the gospel - you were born to the Lord. He knows, your life is very dear to him, more than you care about yourself. You are made for him and neighbor. Yet we of this fundamental truth, which is the very meaning of life, we care very little (much less do we care). And though many remain without food and clothing and why others do not seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, but only their own advantage.
Jesus, the beginning of this Gospel passage makes it clear that no one can make the servant of two masters at once, with a total service, in fact, "either he will hate the one and love the other or be devoted to one and neglect the 'else. You can not serve God and wealth. " Reminded of the words of Deuteronomy that define the "service" one Lord with these words: love "with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might "(Deut. 6:4-5). In the name of this total dedication to God is in dispute, idolatry, which is precisely to serve other gods, other lords. It is the claim an absolute right by God, not that this will seem too difficult. And according to our calculations, reviews, our measured and prudent management of feelings, certainly feel that. That's right: God is too great. But is the excess of love that gives account of his claim. It is already clear in the words of the prophet Isaiah: "It is a woman forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Although they may forget, I will not forget you ever "(Is 49:15). Never a mother forget her child small. Well, even if a mother work so absurd, the Lord would never do that. For this and only this is why the psalmist says:" Only in God rest for my soul "(Ps 62.2).
This Gospel is not, of course, a kind of manifesto against the civilization of the job, or a nostalgic appeal to the serenity of life in a romantic setting naturist. Jesus said to those disciples to tell them to live with radical integrity and their relationship with God Serving the wealth (a true idol) is like giving him the soul, the reason why becomes absorbed in life. idol is a short-lived, but for many is reason enough to be compelled to serve him with life. Serve wealth is therefore losing their lives behind the magic of the ephemeral. The warning of Jesus is wise and severe: "Instead, try, first, the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." It must first seek the kingdom of God, which is goodness, mercy, justice, brotherhood, friendship. This is the essence from which everything else flows with certainty. Wealth gives us something but does not give us the essentials. However, it is demanding an idol, is not spared. If ye first the kingdom of God, the rest will be missed, he will be missed by those who do not even need.
