In honor of Shahbaz Bhatti which we talked on Vine in recent days and a fervent Catholic who suffered martyrdom in Pakistan, we publish a prayer to the Saints Cosmas and Damian, twin physicians of the land of Arabia and also martyrs for the Faith in Jesus Christ
O Glorious Saints Cosmas and Damian, You, after a life filled with works of mercy to the sick, the torments and generously affrontaste spargeste blood in witness of faith and love for Jesus Christ. For this reason the Church honors you as the Martyrs, rejoices in your glory and your calls for help for the evils from which we are distressed and oppressed. And we have come here in your sanctuary to venerate the relics of your outstanding and effective to implore your help. O Saints Cosmas and Damian, You are brothers, we turn in brotherly love. You are martyrs: to increase our faith and love of the Lord. You are powerful and compassionate doctors: come to our aid, guariteci soul from the evils and diseases of the body, and always confortateci with your kindness, your prayers for us and with the continuous and compassionate your protection. Amen.
